Toronto and Ottawa submit over 50,000 petition signatures to the Premier

Check out these images and news videos from students delivering over 50,000 petition signatures. This is the most ever collected by students. The message is clear: students are against these fees and want to see action. With economic uncertainty, investing in education must be central to a recovery plan. Competition in today's knowledge based economy requires an educated populace that is not burdened by thousands of dollars of debt. Premier McGuinty and his Minister John Milloy must not ignore students' demands when planning for the next tuition and ancillary free framework for next year.

(Almost) Academic Amnesty

Its not amnesty, but this is something that the University of Toronto put out:

"ask that faculty members, where possible, not penalize students for non-attendance at classes on that day and, where possible, to permit students the opportunity to complete an assignment or test at another time if the student's participation in the campaign necessitates this. The decision to grant dispensation to students of course must remain in the judgment of individual faculty members."
